We are calling all schools in Windsor Essex to join the movement! W.E. Care for Kids is having its first city wide Spirit Day. On May 31st, thousands of students will join forces for a day dedicated to improving paediatric healthcare in our community.
Spirit Day is a fun-filled fundraising event where schools across Windsor- Essex come together to raise money for paediatric medical equipment, and support programs such as John McGivney Children’s Center, WETRA, Learning Disabilities of WIndsor Essex and Family Respite. Every year, hundreds of children and families in our community drive up the 401 to access specialized equipment for their healthcare needs. W.E. Care for Kids helps provide vital medical equipment to help keep those children and families right here at home. Spirit Day will provide an opportunity for us to make a meaningful difference in their lives!
Here’s how it works: On Spirit Day (May 31st), students and staff can show their school spirit by participating in themed activities such as a dress down day, pajama day, crazy hair day, or any other creative ideas your school community may have. Students are encouraged to bring a loonie (or more!) to contribute towards W.E. Care for Kids.
By joining Spirit Day, your school will not only demonstrate its commitment to community service but also provide students with a valuable lesson in the power of giving back- kids helping kids! It is an opportunity to come together as a school community, have fun, and make a tangible impact on the lives of children in need. When you sign up for Spirit Day, your school will be recognized in our community for your contributions. W.E. Care for Kids is proud to feature supporters on our website, social media accounts and on AM800!
